Brent Ortego, a wildlife diversity biologist with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department based in Victoria, TX, specializes in the banding and tracking of hummingbirds. His favorite hummingbird is the Buff-bellied variety that is indigenous to the South Texascoastal regions.
